Cons

  • Not all applications are supported.

RunAsDate is a handy little program that allows users to schedule a date and time for individual programs on their computers to run, even when they are not there to manually initiate them.

One of the best aspects of RunAsDate is that the program takes up very little disk space itself. In fact, RunAsDate does not even have to be installed onto a computer at all. The program can run from a USB stick, if preferred. This small but extremely helpful program gives users the freedom to schedule run times for the programs they need to execute on a regular basis so they don't have to worry about remembering to do so or even be there to make it happen.

It should be noted that users will most likely not be very excited by the interface found in RunAsDate. There are no fancy bells and whistles, but it is straightforward and understandable. Users simply select the program they wish to schedule and enter the date and time they would like the program to run. RunAsDate does the rest of the work. Another option is for users to initiate the program through the use of the command line parameters. RunAsDate has proven to be an efficient and reliable option for scheduling program run times, but there are other programs available that do the same thing while offering additional features for users.

While the creators of RunAsDate have recently released a 64-bit version of the program, it is important to note that there are still some Windows applications that will be not be supported by the program.
